About
Irina is from a tiny town called Belebei (Russia, for everyone that’s not from Belebei), where she quickly fell in love with arts from an early age and discovered she wasn’t too shabby on the keys, unfortunately, a quick Google on a pianists salary changed her mind in terms of a career. With that in mind in 2007, she jumped on a plane to the Atlantic City with no plan and no idea what she was doing. Equipped only with one phrase “I’m Irina and I’m looking for a job” taken from ‘The English Language for Dummies’, and as it turns out, they were on the lookout for dummies, as she landed a job. She would spend her days printing 'I ♥AC' on cheap t-shirts for a living, not exactly what she had in mind. But the market for crappy shirts was booming, but why? (Irina wouldn’t even wear one to bed). It could only be one thing, advertising. And this is when she had an epiphany, she was going to sell people things that they didn’t want through advertising. She began her creative journey at the School of Visual Arts in New York that she graduated with honors and picked up a few shiny things to put in the trophy cabinet including The One Show, Clios and Art Directors Club, to name a few. After graduating SVA, she landed a job at BBDO New York. 2 years later, next on the boarding pass was Dubai, where she started as an Art Director at Ogilvy. While working on global brands like Visa, Campbell’s, Mars, Dove, Guinness, Unilever, Etisalat, Dubai Tourism and many others, she was published at Lürzer's Archive several times, invited to judge students awards and named High Potential under 30 at ADC Europe. What now you ask? Well, she's currently at BBDO, Dubai. But away from the so called ‘nine-to-five’ (which we all know isn’t a real thing in advertising), she has always had the desire to explore the world, so took it upon herself to travel to incredible places with incredible people. From chewing on crunchy scorpions in Thailand to feeding snapping crocodiles in Cambodia, she jumps at the change to experience something fresh. As for the adventure, it’s not over, in fact, it’s just the beginning…
